Juventino is sole proprietor of JGTaxPro and has been in business since 2009. Juventino served in the United States Navy as a Nuclear Machinist’s Mate supervising a team of Sailors in the safe and efficient operation of nuclear propulsion plants and associated equipment. In the early part of his Naval career, Juventino obtained official training in tax preparation through the IRS's VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program that was hosted at Naval Nuclear Power Training Command while waiting to be cleared to progress in his Naval schooling. During his off-duty time on three separate deployments to the Persian Gulf and Indian Ocean in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom in support of the Global War on Terrorism, Juventino would help his fellow shipmates, in the proper completion of their income tax returns using the latest computer and online software available.
These actions laid the foundations to what has become a growing and successful tax and accounting practice. Now, Juventino has expanded his services to include small business bookkeeping, advising and notary public services.
When Juventino is not busy advising small businesses to improve their processes, preparing tax returns or bookkeeping, he is busy performing as a Supervisor of Procurement Accounting Operations for the National Cemetery Administration. Before that he served a short time as an Administrative Officer for the Bakersfield National Cemetery. Prior to his current position, Juventino performed duties as a financial auditor and as a management analyst for the US Navy, and previously managed Shipyard Support Services for Life Cycle Engineering. He managed various business operations, from personnel onboarding, security clearance processing, expense report review and contract management. Juventino completed his military service at Southwest Regional Maintenance Center where he implemented a new enterprise resource planning (ERP) system specializing in accounting and supply chain information systems management.
Juventino holds a bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Engineering Technology from Excelsior College, a master’s degree in Accountancy from National University and a Master of Business for Veterans from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California. In addition to formal schooling he also holds some industry specific certifications and is continuously taking continuous education to maintain tax knowledge proficiency on the lates tax law changes, best business practices and latest accounting and supply chain technology. Some of those certifications include, QuickBooks ProAdvisor, SAP Business Intelligence Professional Associate, Tableau Desktop, Certified ScrumMaster and Atlassian Jira for project management.
Juventino and his wife Alejandra live in Bakersfield, California with their two daughters and son.
